Swiss Alpine Diploma in Culinary Arts

This two-year course is designed to equip students with the skills necessary for a career in culinary arts. The programme puts particular emphasis on food production skills as well as managerial aspects. The two industry placement semesters as well as the practical duties during the theory semesters make Alpine's graduates highly employable in the catering, food and beverage related industries.
The main aim of this course, Diploma in Culinary Arts, is to produce graduates who have the appropriate knowledge and relevant professional skills to work effectively in a variety of food service outlets. The main objectives of the course are to enable them to gain knowledge and practice in an advanced applied environment of food production; evaluate the menu as a sales tool; gain knowledge and practice in restaurant management and beverage service; appreciate the importance of understanding the relationship between nutrition and the human body.
